My employer wants me to clock in according to the time on the computer.? Every morning I come in it takes the computer approx 5-8 minutes to start up.Although the company is well aware the computers take a while to start up, they still want us to log in the time it says on our screen. With that being said; I am being shorted approx 5-8 minutes a day due to the system. On any day I sit at my desk and push the power button to begin my day it is 7:23am by the time the computer starts up it is 7:30am and I must log in 7:30am and I am now shorted 7 minutes. In some cases this will take me into the next time bracket and my employer will consider me late. This issue has been brought up numberous times and their answer is to come in earlier. Is this legal? What can I do to resolve this action? HR and dept managers give no answers. PLEASE HELP!!!! |
