Default Did the second world war kill our industrial economy ?

There seemed to be an abundance of German engineering founding the industrial world as well the breweries until a short time after the second world war . The industrial community has diminished into a seemingly obscurity . And at present the U.S. is no longer the engineering capitol . We are probably not even on the list anymore . Just curious ?!
