...after 4 month or it will looks unp? I`v just promoted from a Team Leader to be a Manager in the same field in another departement. I am welling to go on leave for 1 week starts on second half of November & again for 3 weeks in April. What do you think does it look unprofessional since any new role needs a period of time to settle????

I don't think it looks bad. Especially if you had already scheduled travel plans. You can't just change plane reservations at the drop of a hat these days. Unless your boss has a problem with this (and I would speak to him/her) then I say go.
