Default Why do employers prefer for you to resign rather than to fire you even...

...thought they want you out of there? ...they even make it hard on you at work, getting on your case for every little tiny mistake you make just so that you can quit. They have tried to fire me and make me sign some paper, i didn't sign i didn't even read it, when you get fired or quit is there certain paper work that you have to fill out and if so why?....Im not the type of person to sue somebody but i would like to collect unemployment if its owed to me and the fare thing to do. Any advise or tips...ive been working for this employer for over 15 years and never had to deal with this sort of stuff, so i really don't know my rights, is there a website that i can go to for this? thank you in advance. I live in Bryan Texas (if that makes a difference with the laws)
