In this economy, when you are looking for work, is it bad to accept a... ...position & only keep it for a few months? I am a recent college grad and have been actively looking for a job for some time now. I am hoping to find something that has room for growth and upward mobility, increased responsibility and pay. I am going for an interview for an administrative assistant type position. Although I do not look down upon that type of work, my long time career goals do not involve doing that work forever, and I am hoping to get a job that has more room for growth...
In this economy, where it is difficult to find a job in some areas, is it bad to take accept a position and only stay a few months when you know you will still be looking for work and hopefully find something better?
I am a good, reliable person, but really need a job at the same time. The job is at a very small company with less than 15 employees and if it works out I would stay a while, but if I can find something better in the next month or two, I'd like to take something else... So how bad is it to take a job and only stay a month or two (until you find something better?), especially at a small company... I don't want to mention this in the interview, as I know I won't get hired, and I really just need SOME income coming in... Any advice? |
