Default Co-worker who farts out loud at my job?

This co-worker of mine sits 2 cubicles behind me and farts numerous times a day. Imagine eating your lunch and hearing someone pass loud gas?? It makes me sick to my stomach. UGHH. HE used to sit on the other side of the office but when I returned from maternity leave he was on my side and the reason you ask? Because the other workers were complaining! So what sense was it sending him over here as if we would not be offended too? My supervisor is on travel and when he returns I will be making him aware, especially now that the farting guy fall under the other program manager. He stated before he has some problem, and I understand that. But does that mean I have to come to work each day looking forward to hearing someone fart all freaking day and not being able to eat my lunch in peace or working in peace for that matter. I cant and WILL not get used to that!!! Theres an open office in the back in which he may need to be moved. Anyone else experience this. I know fart is part of life, but in a private manner, when I can hear it, its has become public, plus in a professional environment? Come one now. UGHH!
