Default Is my boss coming close to having a break down?

She is doing things that are strange. She had problems in these areas before but they are getting much worse.
Her office is a mess. She can't find anything in there and won't clean it up. Plus she won't let any of us go in there and help her. We are constantly having to replace paperwork because she takes it in there and then can't find it. Then it is found like weeks later in the mess.

She plays video games and does private business on her company computer.. pays her bills, talks to family and friends etc. Even does her son's taxes on it.

She is always late on dead lines... reports, stat sheets you name it... it's late.

She is suppose to be the one picking up the mail each morning but refuses to, says she forgot or what not and one of us has to go do it on our lunch hour or break time.

She has had this job for 19 years. She doesn't report to the main office and is pretty much in sole charge of the office. All she has to do is make sure the head office is happy and no one from there bothers to check on her much. Past employees have quit because they just can't stand feeling like they aren't getting anything done all the time.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to handle working here? I love working with the other people here and really she isn't a bad person, it is just that well I'd like to feel like I am accomplishing something once in a while. I don't want to quit but darn.... it is starting to depress me too...
Nope... no one seems to care...no one to report to. Sigh... It's sad but I actually like the woman. SHe isn't a bad person but our productivity is ....not as good as it should be.

If your company is paying for you to do work 2 or 3 times I can certainly say someone should be concerned.
