After 10 years in administration, I took training in graphic design (certificate not degree). That enabled me to get a somewhat different job where I do more design work than straight admin stuff and I've been at that job for 3 years. However, I am still plunked in front of a computer all day in an office setting. I'm also not crazy about my manager, but that's another issue.

So anyway, what else can I do? I'm too old to go back to school at this stage. I just need to shake things up and get out of the office, but what else is there? What are some unique jobs that people have? Any ideas? I'd love to make 2010 exciting job wise.
Okay, I agree about the never too old thing. What I should have said was I can't afford to take years off school to do another degree. I could take some night/distanceweekend courses. I just don't know in what. It seems all roads lead to office work. I'm not sure what else is out there for me.

Exactly. You first need to get out of your negative mindset. You really are never too old or too broke to go to school. If you REALLY want a change, YOU need to CHANGE for yourself!
