Default what is considred as the best position for me?

I am an Industrial engineer with two years experience. I have been working in an engineering design consultation company since October 2007. I started as a planning engineer and now I am a projects coordinator. I took many project management courses during my occupied positions such as Iso 9001:2000, Total Quality Management, Risk management and PMP. Currently, there is a vacant position (Proposals Engineer) in the Marketing department at my company which is mainly responsible for pricing and preparing proposals. What about moving to Marketing department? The company is offering me a good salary for the new position. Yesterday I had my PMP exam but unfortunately I do not pass, however this increase my enthusiasm to move to the new position the major reason is my feeling during my current position – project coordinator that I have no authority I have just acts as a project manager secretary which I do not like at all. On the other hand I am really interested in having a new experience in another field. Please anyone can advise me regarding this matter and if this will affect my careers’ path negatively. Thanx.
