 How to do the following presentation?
I have had to take on new responsibilities within our orangization and one of those is event planning. We have an event scenario that was presented and I was told that I needed to solve it and present something. I don't have a lot of skills in making a presentation, however I have just been asked to give one and am a little bit nervous since it is not really my area of expertise. Any advise you can give would be appreciated. Here is the scenario:
The current Events Manager has suddenly fallen ill and has been hospitalized for an undetermined amount of time. The kick off phase of the pending public solar event needs to get started. This solar event is a cross country, public event, led by the American Solar Energy Society (ASES).
Our company has stepped up to sponsor and deliver this public event for San Mateo County. Our San Mateo location is targeted to host this public event at our company park. The goal of this public event is to offer the public an opportunity to tour solar energy solutions, to see how the public can utilize solar energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies to reduce their monthly utility bills and help tackle climate change.
We are participating in this effort led by ASES and striving to target a 2010 date, but it is still undetermined. Most locations around America deliver these public events on a Saturday. All aspects of the event need to be kicked off. An experienced Events Manager needs to address this project and get the momentum started immediately.
As the new Events Manager, solve this problem & show us a concept of the event.
1.) Demonstrate how you would get started?
2.) Demonstrate the stages of your plan and your needs
3.) Present a concept of this Saturday Event, all activities, all participants
I can do number 3 no problem, but it is the others I don't know about.
