i've been looking for a data entry type of job lately, and i've noticed a numbers of ads. claiming that they'll pay me to work at home ... typingn stuff for them. is this legit? or they're just want ur personal information and send tons of more ads *in the form of mails* to u? Anyone every did any sort of jobs at home that they found from the internet?

Just be careful. Be very careful.

Most of these jobs are scams, and very high risk of identity theft.
