Default Do college courses count on getting a job as an administrative assistant?

I have been a full time student since last fall, and now I'm thinking of getting a part time job as an administrative assistant. My courses include working with different computer programmes including filing, and preparing correspondence; 3 keyboarding courses where I learned to type 60+ wpm, and some english communication courses. The problem here is that I don't have any previous experience working as an administrative assistant. will these courses help me get the job or experience is the most important regardless of what courses you have taken in college?

Thanks in advance for your answers
