| besides dressing nice. see there are a lot of employees were I work and one of the supervisors told me she'll be leaving in 2 semesters so that means there will be an opening ![]() so between then and now how do I get my bosses attention to notice me for the position. i already work hard and pick up shifts whenever he needs it etc. i was thinking how could I befriend him and start a convo with him as he is distant from employees because theres so many of us. |

| You may want to make sure he notices your good work. If you have something in ur head that you think would work better than the current method and you know how to implement it, I'm sure that would be a conversation starter. Especially if it makes / saves money. |

| Dressing nice? Wrong approach. Ofcourse you ought to dress professionally but, doing your job well gets people's attention. It's great that you work hard but, that doesn't necessarily mean you work well. Work hard without it looking hard. Think about how to make the company a greater success (I'd have more to say there if you'd indicated what industry you work in) and talk with your boss about how it's helpful and how it could be implemented. |
