Someone probably stole your identity and is using your social security number?? Your parents maybe?
Tell your parents!

Definitely tell your parents so they can take appropriate action and inform the three credit agencies. It is either that someone stole your identify and is ruining your credit, or scammers phishing to get your information by pretending to be a collection agency to get you to tell them your personal information so they can steal your identity.

Sounds like someone used your social security number to open a MasterCard account. At 15, you aren’t even legally able to obtain a cc. You need to find out who used your SSN to obtain credit, and unfortunately, some parents these days are using their kids SSN to get credit since they trashed their own. Sorry to hear you have a mess to clean up at 15. :0(

It is probably a collector who did a skip trace for someone with a similar name. Do you actually talk to them or are they only leaving messages? If it’s an automated message, it could just be a telemarketer trying to sign you up for a credit card.

You parents should get a copy of your credit report (AnnualCreditReport.com) to be sure no derogatory items are there. If there are, dispute them with the credit bureaus.
