| Hi all Recently my friend registered C-Corporation in california. He is CEO of his own company. This company hired 1 employee so far and they are doing business. Does this company needs to run payroll for CEO also? He doesn't want to take any salary from his own company for first 3 years. Is that legal in California. I am assuming that everyone who works for company needs to be on payroll. Is that right? Where can I find authentic info on this? --Anil |

| Why would that not be legal?? It is HIS company, and he can give himself ANY salary he wants. There are CEO's of Fortune 500 companies that work for free or even for $1 per year. Believe it or not, the law does NOT force someone to pay themselves. |
