Default Dilemma.... Need opinions quick :(?

I've been out of a job for a long time, and have been tapping on contacts as much as possible. I graduated with my masters right into the crisis, so things have been tough.

I have a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, a MBA and am doing a CFA. My last role was in Investment Management.

Over the course of the last few days, a close friend has set up a meeting for me with the CEO of a small tech start-up. The firm doesn't have any roles that I'm interested in or have experience in.

At the same time, an Uncle replied that he forwarded my resume to some contacts in Investment Banking and Asset Management.

I am due to meet up with the tech ceo tomorrow. How do I tell him that I have no interest without putting my friend in a spot?

Or what can I say to buy time for my uncle's friends to get back to me?

I don't want to waste anyone's time, and it would be awful if i joined the tech firm and quit if a better job comes up, one that i'm actually interested in, a short while later.
