Well I would like to state its another example of a load of modern gob-baldy goook, why don't people just talk in plain English, it doesn't impress me one bit, why because normal people don't understand it's exact meaning, and it therefore means that peope who do think its clever to use ,they are not normal, or clever, just an idiot and are seen as exactly that (but nobody ever tells them and they just carry on being "clever"), and "that don't impress me much" (as Shania Twain sang) hence you ask the question..
Excuse me back to your question:
In my opinion it really means that if all processes and caring techniques etc are correctly employed concerning the patient, then costs etc are kept to a minimum, therefore the profit of the organization can be maximized.
Plus if the correct "caring processes, techniques" are employed, then the claims of negligence are reduced (they also suck profits, and have a direct effect on patients coming to that particular facility, be it a hospital or whatever, and the number of patients have a direct correlation to funds/budgets.
Hope this helps
