os becoming a chef a good choise?

ok so i am a senior in high school and i wam planning what to do next year after i graduate and i chose to be a chef!!! is it a good field, good pay, are the courses too expensive?? please tell me everything you know and give me the pros and cons of being a chef!!! thanks what other field can i choose???
i meant to say is instead if os hahaha
