if it is a "she" she is a waitress. have you ever asked her if she has a problem with the way that you buss. maybe she doesn't think you are worth the money and she is trying to let you know by not paying, hoping that you will ask her how you can improve or by improving your services by watching her and others. have the other waiter/waitresses ever complained or complemented you on the work that you do? have you ever asked that particular waitress what would she like you to do that you are not doing. is she paying on the spot all the other bussers but not you? is she a more experienced waitress than the others and she expects more from you. regardless she should pay you something without a hassle but it may not be the actual 10%. i suggest that you talk to her on the side and ask her what the problems are or does she expect you to make the request each time. from my experience , when the busser is above average or awesome i give them an awesome tip. but if someone does not want to learn or change they usually receive something but they would never know if it was pittance or 10%. i also suggest that you watch other bussers and servers at your and other restaurants to see what they do,why and when . if you want to be the best at what you do, you have to observe and ask questions. |
