| So my best friend in the whole world is graduating high school this year, and he's finally decided he wants to be a firefighter after he gets out of school. Well, I like but at the same time don't like the idea. Firefighters ARE extremely important people but I just really don't want him to get hurt. It does come with A LOT of risks. I don't want to tell him not to because it's his choice. How should i deal with this? |

| Firefighting is a noble and exciting profession. My grandfather used to be a firefighter (15 years) and I've learned a lot about courage and teamwork from him. While the risks are definitely there, it all comes down to training and mental strength. It's a rewarding profession on many levels. |
