| You cannot work as a nurse until you are qualified. You then have to pass the Overseas Nursing programme before you can work unsupervised. There is also an English Language test. At the moment, you would not get e visa as a newly qualified nurse. The only nursing jobs open to non EU nationals are critical care or theatre nurses. If you are coming to the UK to work, you must have a work visa. If you are coming as a student you have to be enrolled at a Home Office approved education sponsor. Rules have be tightened up considerably over the past year and thousands of colleges have been refused licences to offer courses to non EU nationals. Those which have a licence now have strict reporting rules on non-attending students. |
