Default About my EDD unemployment appeals..?

I was no longer working in my last employer because I was leave as FMLA - Family Leave Act program, because was serious sick. So during the time I went to the FMLA website double check that I can continue the program for up to 12weeks,so about 10weeks, my employer terminated me, but I was still in the FMLA program, they can't fire or teminated me as I asked that question before, the representative told me they can fired or terminated only after 12wks, so I filed EDD Unemployment benefit, after waited exactly 2months from the date I filed the claim, I just got a letter from EDD, which say I was disqualify because saying I quit the job not terminated, I was not happy because I worked there 4years, very responsible and did the best I could but now turn out to the negative result.I don't know what to do,I never have any appeal letter before, but now should I accept it?Because I got terminated no matter what because still within the 12wks period, but they let me go because they probably need someone can't wait that long, etc. Hope you can give me some good advise will be a lot of help! I really hope I can get the unemployment and want to fill out the form they send me to appeal, but what will happen when I do? I need to argue with my boss or someone from previous employer?I really hope can win, but will I be trouble? If I loose no matter what are there any penalities? Hope hear some answer from you, thanks for your time and waiting for your reply asap.. Because if I accept the appeal then have to mail it back within 20days.. I appreciated all your time thank you again!

You can try for an appeal, but I would not count on it. As far as EDD is concerned, if an employee is fired or quits, they are not eligible for UI benefits. I hope you get them.
