my wife slipped on a puddle of water in a store in florida.. accident report was pretty cut and dry.. went down pretty good, appears currently no injury.. stores insurance company offered a settlement of $250 out of nowhere.. wondered if this can be negotiated because if we sign this thing unable to take action down the road. wondering what the rule of thumb is for this.. attorney said hard to prove store was aware there was a danger and did nothing about it.. even if there was. Travelers insurance is the insurance company wonder what a good number is to try and settle for??
