so the car was in my parents name and i got a reckless op in my fathers truck

The insurance company told my parents that they had to put the car (not the car i did it in) in my name and i need to have my own insurance on the car or they were gonna double their rates

i dont see how if i did it in the truck and not the car but they want the car in my name

but anyways

since i havnt used the full 6 months of the insurance will they refund the rest of my months i have paid for and just credit it to my insurance than?

and is that even right for them to do that
