| I am thinking about doing the paralegal program at my college. Does anyone know from experience the specific job duties and salary? I was looking at information online and some law firms pay more for paralegals with experience in real estate. (I am going to have my real estate license next month) is it a good job? |

| I'm a real estate (foreclosure and bankruptcy paralegal). Paralegals make between 35k-60k a year. The job duties (mainly) are drafting answers, preparing bankruptcies, assisting in trial preparation, meeting with clients/setting appointments, assisting the attorneys in any way they need you to...a Paralegal and Legal Assistant are pretty much the same thing and make about the same, but you don't need to go to college to be a legal assistant. I have a degree in Human Resources, and that works for mostly any field around that as well. I hope that helps and feel free to email me with any other questions about it. Good luck! |
