Default Got suspended for a mistake?

Ok i just got this job at a pet shop last friday and started working there. I cashier. Last night I accidently forgot to endorse someone's check which was $43.00, now i found out that i got suspended. My manager said that he will call me to get back on the schedule or to say that im fired. I havent even been there a week and im in trouble...Is this fair?

Yes, It's fair, just for the fact you have been there for just a short time.
I hope he gives you another chance, but forgetting to endorse a check
is major, just like being short on $

Yes. Generally your first 90 days are called your probation period. During that time, you can pretty much be fired for ANY mistake.

most jobs have a probationary period of about 3 weeks, where they can fire you without reason, it sucks but its true...

i dont think that it is fair. i think that your manager isnt so much upset that you made a mistake, but more so that you made a mistake that cost 43dollars, you know? firing you would be pushing it, and if you do get fired i would research more on the technicality end of things.first week of work,1 mistake and losing your job? outrageous.i doubt you will get fired though. hope it all works out!!!

details....

***probation period....good point.....would that apply with a pet shop though? i guess it would....
