Default Notice Period & Leaving Work (UK)?

My notice period is 2 weeks at work, i resigned yesterday, if i was to leave today, what would be the repurcussions in terms of final salary, im due to be paid my last wage this friday, would i lose 2 weeks worth of salary if i left today? Thanks

If you do not serve the full notice period, your employer is entitled to deduct any overpayment of salary made to you.

If you have already been paid, you could be sued for the return of the money.

Also, you could be sued for breach of contract!

Sit it out! It won't hurt!

Your notice period being two weeks. then take away any holiday you have outstanding. Now go and talk to your HR department and ask what their policy is.
You may be surprised
I would let you go as an employee that's leaving can have a detrimental effect on the rest of the staff.
You don't say if your taking up another job. If you are your current employer may think this is a conflict and let you go.
As I've already said talk to your HR department.
