Default Firing an abusive worker?

My worker threatens me that if I fire her, she will just call in for unemployment. She calls in every rainy day, (take into consideration that she lives only 1 block down (much less than 1 mile, only 5 minute jog.) she says she will let me know when she finds a ride.
I gave her rides home all the time, and even took her to buy her cigarrettes and such, but I cannot leave my restaurant just so she can come in on a rainy day. I am not her mother. It's not my fault her car got messed up and her boyfriend would rather not take her to work, I can run my business alone, I just wanted some trustworthy workers to work when I need my day off in the future to take care of my youngest, my little boy of 3 yrs old who I can hardly see at night; even then, he is just sleeping. (right now I am on my older son's yahoo account).
Please help me understand the rules of unemployment and filing it because I do not want to feed a household that did nothing for me but apply for the job, get the job, then threaten me. (I don't want to lose my hard-earned money to some ill-minded worker.
Now, she did work her for a few months and she has always been on my last nerves always threatening me saying I had to kiss her ass. I am her boss, she should not talk to me like that.. does the government's unemployment law really let her ride all over her boss?
she threatens she will just get a part-time or full-time job and keep this as a part-time job. she says that I am being unprofessional. What can I do? Help me out.
