Also -- he wouldn't be able to work Sunday mornings; would that possibly be a problem? My husband had a interview today for a Verizon Sales Rep. He has a passion for sales and does very well with it. He currently works for M&T Bank. With the bank, he has an excellent schedule and good pay. I've heard they pay well at Verizon, but what would the schedule be like? I'm concerned about him working all weekend. Overall, is this a good job for a married man in terms of schedule, pay, etc.? I hope he likes it! All comments and opinions would be appreciated!

Is the business where he interviews open on Sunday mornings? If so, it could be a problem. As I prefer not to discuss work details on a business publicly, you may email me for details on working for Verizon here, however, it could be different in your location, and with that employer, as most Verizon stores are privately owned, and each owner may be different on policies and procedures.

If he works in a store they will probably want him to work some Sunday's. By law (in the US) they must make reasonable accommodations for you to attend church, if that's what he wants Sunday's for. They do not have to make allowances for someone that says they won't work the entire day due to religious reasons though, so don't try that. When I sold cars I wen to my church and then went to the dealership right after that. He may have to do that. They might be accommodating and give him some Sunday's off, but be warned, he will probably have to work a few of them. That's retail. In Arizona I spoke with a young man at my local Verizon store when I was updating my phone and he said in his first year he was going to earn around $40k. You're husband might have to hustle a bit to get more than that, but if he's good he'll get it! Hope that helps! Good luck to you!
