Default Is there a place where I can get good tips to use as a sales associate?

I just got hired as a sales associate for Forever 21, and I'm looking for ways to improve my customer service, my sales, my sale pitch, and in general, be the best employee possible.

Cliche, yeah. I know.

What I want to know is there a website/blog/list where I can find ways to improve my skills as a sales associate? And even better, find tips/tricks/skills that I can use to impress my boss.

I have worked in retail for about 3 years now. Clothing stores are the hardest really but not because of sales, more because you have to keep the appearance of the store perfect. But for sales I can say really listen to the customer and let them tell you what they are looking for. If you learn the product you will have some things in mind to show them and start there. sometimes they will like what you show them sometimes they won't In the case its not exactly what they were looking for ask them more about what they want. Like style color fit etc. make sure you let them talk more than you do. Working with a customer in this way makes them feel special in a way. Also ask them about their day and make them feel like a friend. Where I work It is so easy to do I work In a mall in the heart of downtown new orleans close to the french quarter. I never see locals where I work So I will ask them things like where are u from, are u here for work or vacation? things like that ALSO I found that If you see a customer getting ready to leave ask them If they are finding everything okay alot of the time they will stay in the store longer giving you a better chance to make and close a sale even if its just a necklace or somthing! sorry I dont have a blog to refer you to just my own personal experience hope this helps
