Default My ex employer lied to unemployment?

They told me I was "laid off" because of winter. (Seasonal area.) I thought we left on good terms, they gave a few extra weeks pay and said I could use them for a reference. My last performance review got very high marks.

However, When I went to file for unemployment, Unemployment told me that my ex employer said I was 'fired' not 'laid off'. Since I have never been either before, I'm not sure what to do now.

Serious answers only please, no spam about how much I could be making by doing 'this'
