| I am graduating college in December with a degree in accounting and working on my first real resume. I am having trouble articulating in a professional way my job descriptions. I have only had two relevant jobs. So I'll just let you know what I did and what I wrote. My professors said it just isn't coming through. I'll tell you the titles too and maybe there is something that is more appropriate. The second one I feel I need the most help. JOB1 Accounting Assistant I worked the accounting department of a ski resort assisting the accountant. I would give people their cash drawers for their registers, then periodically go take drops of excess cash and make sure that their drawers were not short or over and find out why if they were also give them change. The registers were all the ones on the resort; ticket windows, gift shop, food registers, guest services, group services ect. -Oversaw cash collections for over 10 registers -calculated end of day reconciliations JOB2 Accounts Receivable Clerk I worked for a poster company who sent out teams of people to colleges in the fall to sell posters on campus, and they would send there receipts, credit card statements, and cash back. I would get it and make sure that everything worked out and was accounted for and then I would organize all the statements and enter the sales into the computer. -Received daily orders Organized and recorded data on the computer Thanks so much. |
