Default what can be done when you sell a 18000 truck to your daughter without a

contract and they stop paying you? She was paying me but just stopped, we have the title but not our name on it, But we have several witnesses to the sale, and on my cell phone she wrote we will repay you everything we owe you.

Please help! Thanks
We seriously believe my daughter and her family are in a CULT as she for no reason changed everything from her cell phone to her house phone and we do not even know if she still lives in her home as she is 16 hours away and we are disabled and are getting no help and my dauguter is getting over 4500 per month.

You can't do a damn thing. Written contracts exist for a reason.

This is sort of a question that's hurts to answer because any which way you decide is going to strain the relationship.
You can take her to small claims court..but I imagine that there is a limit to the amount you can sue her fo (probably around $5000r. I don't really think you want to get a lawyer and take her to court as the lawyer fees will give you a heart attack. Both ways will probably make your relationship suffer greatly.
I recommend that you both sit down and talk it through. Is there a reason why she stop paying? Is she in some kind of trouble? Maybe there's a way to work out some kind of smaller payment...times are tough for everyone. I think as a parent, we are not obligated to help our kids out financially but I think it's okay to do so if you have that power as long as they appreciate it. 5 years down the line, would you wish that your daughter and you were estranged over a car?
Hope you find the right answer.
