My lawyer said I didn't need to attend the closing since he was representing me. Well, it's been 9 days since then and I have yet to receive the money I am due from the sale of my condo. I have called the lawyer several times and he swears he sent the check in the mail the next day. Unfortunately, it has not arrived. I continue to call him each day I don't receive it. He has started giving me excuses and has seemed to change his initial story. Everyone else has gotten paid, the realtors, the lawyer himself and the mortgage company. I am very concerned because we are talking about quite a large sum of money. What should I do next?
