How long can someone stay over as a guest before it's considered a tenant?

I got a new roommate without any signed lease, she's stayed 2 weeks and I already have decided I don't want a roommate after all. Can I "evict" her without a 30 day notice since it hasn't even been 30 days and consider it as a house guest under California law? I have no problem refunding her deposit/rent.
