Default Sister Looking For Rented Home?

My sister is looking for a rented home, however she has been told she needs a guarantor and is having difficulty getting one, not sure they would accept me due to the fact I am on disability benefits myself!

What is the best way for her to get rented accommodation, she would also need some type of loan to pay the first months rent, she is not working but will be getting some money in a couple of months or so, she cannot wait till then to be housed, she needs a home within a couple of weeks

She should speak to her local council.

The council housing lists are so overwhelmed that many of them now offer encouragement and incentives for people to rent privately, these include assistance with deposits, etc.

My local council does a scheme where they will award you a grant, paid direct to the landlord/letting agent, to cover your deposit and your first month's rent.

This had all the makings of a good question.

Until you forgot to say which country you are in!

You have to have a steady source of income to get rent a house. No landlord is going to rent to her when they can just find a better and more reliable tenant. Maybe she should apply for housing assistance.
