okay i need ebay help! what to sell?

my friend says she sells on ebay! but she takes the pic at a outlet mall! then posts it online, and waits for somebody to buy it ! then use that money to buy it and still make a profit! i think thats to risky wat if that item is sold ?!. lol i need to know what sells best!
