I just recently opened an Etsy account and have only sold one item so far.

I don't have a lot of money and I'm trying to think of fun ways to promote my site. I already have posted the link on my Myspace, Facebook, and some of my forums. I've even bought a showcase for one day on Etsy and it helped bump up my views but not my sales.

I want to maybe make some flyers or posters or like little business cards or something and leave them places or hand them out. Is this a bad idea?

My one friend suggested making little origami stars or swans and writing the web address and leaving them in bathrooms and waiting rooms and handing them to cashiers at stores and stuff.

Any other ideas?
