eBay.. what happens if...............?

You buy an item and the seller sends you the item plus extra (by their own mistake). Then the seller (realizing their mistake) wants the extras back or have the buyer pay for them. Does the buyer legally have to return or pay for the extras? Or is it hard cheese for the seller?
