Default What types of businesses are usually open on Veteran's Day?

First, I would like to thank all of our veterans for what they did/ do for our country.

I just think that this is a major holiday. I work for a bank in Pennsylvania and we are closed. I would just think that there would be more respect shown for the veterans that all businesses should be closed. I know so far the schools are closed, but the doctors' offices are not. What other types of businesses are open on Veteran's Day? It seemed to me this morning that a lot of people went to work --no one is around. Thanks in advance for your answers

In my area in MO, the only ones that are closed are Federal offices, post office, library etc. The schools, stores, doctors gas stations are all open.
