Default can i claim my son this year?

i have a son who lives with his stepmother. can i claim him on my taxes this year even though he is not living with me and i am not paying child support but spousal support?

No. You are not the custodial parent so you can only claim him if the custodial parent gives you a completed Form 8332 that you would then attach to your tax return.
