Default Centrelink question?!?

I have been working for the passed 10 months, but not as a contract (informal arrangement, cash in hand). I was working casual for 6 months before that.

If I get Newstart while studying part-time, and then commence full-time study after about 12 months, is it possible for me to get Youth Allowance straight away, or will I still not be considered "independant"?

Studying would require me to be away from home.

I ask here because, frankly, phone calls make me very nervous (Social anxiety) and if I can avoid it, I will ^^

I think you would be entitled to Austudy. If working part time you have to declare your earnings.
