I'm currently in school and I heard somewhere you can only claim the hope credit twice. Is this true? Also if you didnt claim one year that you went ot school can you go back and get backpay on the unused credit? Thank you?

Hope has been revised. The 2009 8863 form will have a new credit that covers years 1-4 of college.
