| Hi, I am currently updating my CV and i just wanted to know if it was ok to change my job title to suit my job role and current responsibilities. I dont think I am being deceitful because I intend to state exactly what I do in the role which is engineering related, I just feel my current title as a platform controller doesnt suit my role and a title like "platform engineer" would look more appealing to recruiters. I have tried having my job title changed by HR but to no avail. I need your advice. |

| Why not being honest about it so nothing could get "back" to you. Give your job title and explain exactly what you do. That's for sure a compromise, it's not lying and you should be gaining from it. |
