Default I want to be an IT Manager or CIO. Should I get Microsoft Certs?

I have a strong background of experience and education for information technology. Next, I'm going for my MBA with emphasis on Management Information Systems. I am debating whether or not to also pursue a microsoft certification, such as MCITP or what if I went as far as Microsoft Master or MIcrosoft Architect? Would these certs help me get a job as a manager of IT or would it just help me to get a better Network Administrator job? If it won't help me get into management, I don't want to waste my time since I already have so much real world Network Admin experience.
