Default Jobs as a web design/developer?

I'm spending 100k to get a piece of paper stating I know how to build web sites.

I graduate next year.
Will I be able to find a job in this economy?

Unfortunately, the younger and more inexperienced population is having a harder time finding a job in this kind of economy, with unemployment at record highs. The medical field is the only one that seems to be doing well in terms of job growth. There are thousands or web designers out there who are looking for a job, some who maybe more educated and experienced than you. I am sure that you are better educated and experienced then many others other there. Competition for jobs out there is brutal and the demand for web designers isn't all that high at this point. You have $100K for your education, which will qualify you for many other jobs and will definitely help you in the future. I hope this helps and good luck.

Should not be a problem make sure you do some well designed sites for your portfolio and know all the ins and outs, and be sure you keep up to date on all changes. Get to know who the local ISPs are and their requirements.

Oh and the piece of paper may help a little but its your portfolio and ability that counts Also helps to have a general business knowledge
