I a junior in college majoring in math. Ive also taken some computer science classes (C++, Discrete Math, algorithms). I was wondering if getting masters in computer science would make me more marketable than someone who has a bachelors in computer science. I mean will a masters degree bring me on par or above comp sci majors?

It all depends on what you really are looking for in life.. Are you looking forward to setting up a firm on your own or are you planning to be just an employee? Of course, working for others would not be as fruitful as self-employing. But then again, why not invest one more year for a recognition that is undeniable and yet unbeatable above par?

A master's will definitely put you above those who just have a bachelor's. But I'm not sure if the master's will be worth it - let's put it this way: If you get a bachelor's at a good school, and then get a good C.S. job, within a few years you could have exactly the same job and salary that you might have gotten after finishing your master's - but instead of paying tuition for 2 years, you would have been making a salary. Maybe the best thing you can do is look at the kinds of jobs that you would like to get after school, and see which ones say they just require a bachelor's, vs. require a master's, vs. 'preferring' a master's.
