| I've been employed at my current job for about 8 years. I've recently got news that I should start posting my resume. I DON'T HAVE ONE!! I've never had to make one. Now I need all the dates from my previous jobs. This don't have (I couldn't tell you the dates from my previous job). Is there any way to obtain these through social security records or something like that? Can I find this online? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there any cheap resume making services (you get what I mean.lol!)? Or should I just visit my local un-employment office? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| For a resume you don't need exact dates, just the month and year when you started and ended. And if you have to guess the month, that's OK - if someone checks and finds out you were off by a month or two for a job from several years ago, that is probably not going to disqualify you. As far as tips for writing a resume, your local unemployment office probably would be pretty helpful - and there are also loads of web sites that have sample resumes and tips - just go to google and search for resumes or resume writing, etc. |
